I couldn't comment on modern Ping offerings but my wifes old Ping i3's have Aldila shafts off the shelf (They're up for sale by the way...#shameless plug)

I believe that UST still makes the stock offerings for Ping.

I was told the Alta in the G Series is made by Aldila.
