I've noticed that during my take away and through my back swing I'm transfering my weight onto my left side (right handed player).

Through the down swing the remainder of my weight moves to my left. I'm making good contact with the ball, especially with the short irons and wedges and doing this I've started taking a divot infront of the ball, whereas before I was picking the ball clean off the surface leaving a brusing to the turf at best.

I don't have a swing video as of yet, but I'm plannin to do one this weekend on the practice area. I know it sounds silly asking if I have a swing fault when I feel I'm hitting it well.

Please feel free to comment. All opinions appreciated!

It always amuses me when people talk about swing faults, most of us, myself included, have swings made up of faults and compensations and we work with it. I dare say you have several faults but if you're hitting it well, don't worry about it :D

If you are hitting it to your satisfaction and scoring ok then I wouldn't worry too much. Its hard enough as it is without imagining other faults as well. Wait until it starts going to all other parts of the course and then panic

Thanks for the replies gents.

This stood right out to me and you've hit the nail on the head.

Like I said mid irons to wedges im hitting really well at the minute...... Now if i could just get off the tee

Sounds like your technique is spot on for the short irons, ie the left shoulder down during backswing and strike down on the ball. This will give the impression of more weight on the left foot.
You probably need to adjust your technique for the long irons. ie ball more forward at address and a more sweeping strike.
