It appears that a post I made yesterday has been removed.

No problem if it was deemed problematic, but in the name of decency wouldn't good form suggest a pm to explain/discuss the problem ?

Even an automated pm would let me know that it's gone.

Not mod bashing, but it is a tad frustrating when things just disappear.

No, I've looked at all my posts over the last three days, and it's not on my list.

and I can't see the other guy's post that I was responding too either, under his profile earlier.

Like I say, no problem with the actual removal - obviously I thought it was ok, otherwise I'd have not posted it.

But it was the half hour searching for it that was frustrating.

Just wondering if there's any way of letting me know, next time.

Think that was my doing, well kind of. Your post was "attacked" by a spammer selling a load of gear on his website. I clicked the alert button on his post.

Ive replied to CH in the style of a shakespeare play. We did have at least one alert to the post so it was dealt with.

Can we delete this one too when everyone has read it?

Nope. I'm not rattling any cages here.

The whole thing was to do with some outsider noobie coming on and spamming, so the whole thread was deleted.

I said from the beginning that the detail wasn't important, but it's the treatment that was.

My query was researched quickly and effieciently, and we dealt with it via pm to avoid embarassment.

I said it up there and I'll say it again. The mods looked after me well, I just wish there was some automated software to keep us informed without all the laborious and timewasting legwork they had to endure.
