Have they lifted the plane off the course yet to see "what lies beneath"? I also assume that he will be "presumed Innocent" of any wrongdoing and blame a technical failure and they take some "extraordinary Measures" to prevent this kind of thing happening again! I bet witnesses thought "oh my god, this is an "Apocalypse, NOW"

Anyway, I hope the plave gets removed and fixed before the local kids cover it in "American Graffiti"
 
Confession! I very nearly crashed an aeroplane onto Denham Golf Course flying out of Denham Airfield many years ago. Tried to take off on a hot day in a Cessna 172 with full fuel tanks and 4 heavy people on board. Just managed to get airborne before the fence arrived and flew at below head height across the golf course trying to get enough speed to climb without stalling.. Fortunately there were no golfers in the way! Was always more careful about weight and balance calculations after that!
