A big massive Tashyboy thanks to the planks/ delightful Mods who police this forum. We may have our days where we don’t agree. But at times this site and talking to fellow Forummers who are sat on there settees in there speedos and crocs like me have been a massive help. Big snogs and hugs and all the best for next year.
Tash 😘

A vowel please Rachel, and another, and another
True. The W and Y are vowels in Welsh. Seven vowels rather than the 5 in English.
Scrabble is interesting as the letters K, Q, V, X and Z do not exist in Welsh and J is rare and worth 10 points.
Some tiles have two consonants (diagraphs) to give equivalence to the English version in scoring and difficulty.

I am not a Welsh speaker or reader. I know a few words and phrases.
However, I have learnt the spelling and pronunciation which is far easier than English or French and any English speaker will find it easy. Takes about an hour. Then some practice.
You simply go through each letter, and the common diagraphs, and learn its sound.
