Been trying to remember what it was we said back in the day when Hallowe’en was upon us - because I’m pretty sure it wasn’t ‘Happy’. I actually don’t think it was anything…it was just ‘It’s Hallowe’en’.

As much as ’Happy’ is a nice sentiment, it doesn’t really fit with Hallowe’en, but I can’t think of anything that does and the commercialisation of the night requires something 🤔

Thanks. My kids have had great fun dressing up and going out with their friends.

With the added bonus it seems to have made grumpy old men even more grumpy.

It’s fun…it always was fun…in fact it was the best fun evening of the year. And it’s great that it still is

...though I’m not a fan of bunches of young teens cruising around knocking on doors expecting something for nothing. A group nicked the tub of chocs I left in our porch for young children coming round last night when I went out early evening (they left the tub of monkey nuts). They even took the note I left saying it was there for visiting young witches, wizards, princesses and superheroes (See how grumpy I am…🙄)

All I’m saying is that I’m pretty certain we never said ‘happy’ hallowe’en to each other, and don‘t think there were Hallowe’en cards. but can’t think what we did say…we just got on with having a fun time - guising…Maybe it should be ’Wishing you a Creepy Hallowe’en’.🤷‍♂️
