Powakaddy ct8 water ingress

I have a 10 month old ct8. The screen has water ingress in the top left corner. Powakaddy have said that the screen has a glass protector and water has got in-between the two. They will supply a new glass protector but I have to remove the old and replace it myself. Not happy, incase I break the screen. Anyone else had this problem?

Take it to your retailer, and have them sort it. It's under warranty, parts and labour.

I took it back to American golf and that was the response they gave from Powakaddy. But, you're right, they should sort it.

I took it back to American golf and that was the response they gave from Powakaddy. But, you're right, they should sort it.

Also your contract of sale as a consumer is with AG and not the manufacture, that’s for the retailer to sort.

Found out that the CT8 has a screen protector. Much like a mobile phone, fitted as standard. American golf wiped their hands of it, but put me in touch with Kevin Caplehorn @ Ampfield golf and country club. Who was more than happy to replace the protector.

I don’t think they can do that legally unless Kevin has an agreement with them to do FOC. You shouldn’t be out of pocket.

Are the issues just with CT models?

No. I have a FW3 and it's worse than the picture shown. It's so bad they thought I had left my screen protector on.

My FW3S let in water killing the display, I bought a new display and fitted, resealed myself.
If you need a flexible sealant, I used T-7000 from a reputable dealer on eBay, there is some fake less reliable stuff on the market. It works as a waterproof seal for anything electronic is mobile phone screen replacements etc too.
