Hannah Holden Golf

Started watching one of her video and she was telling me how I should vary the clubs in my bag according to the course I was playing. Yes I know...if I owned a stack of clubs and had them just sitting there waiting to be picked...but I don't. I've got my clubs. Not sure she's quite sure of her audience. I didn't watch the video through.

Like you, I have my 14 clubs ... end of. But had I a stack of them, I would be varying the ones I carried according to my current state of desperation and the overly optimistic belief that something has to work.

I don't think what she says is too unreasonable. I have my regular bag of 14 clubs but I also have a hybrid and a driving iron which get swapped in or out depending if I'm playing a parkland/links etc. A couple of extra clubs isn't unusual.

Depends on your ability I should say. I have chosen my clubs based on versatility and easiness to hit, hence why I only have one set. If I was a good player, I might have a driving iron ready to swap in for certain courses, but I have little chance of being able to hit one properly so I don't bother. If you can hit multiple clubs well then it probably would be worth having different options.

Driving irons for normal golfers are a myth - believe me, I've got one! Hard enough to hit off the tee let alone the fairway and any perceived benefits don't really apply to us mere mortals with the driver and fairway woods being much safer clubs to hit!
