I know this question has been asked before. Are there any sites that can work out you handicap for free or a quick way to work it out. Cheers for any help

If you joined a club you will get 3 cards to submit. These are altered to ignore any scores over a double bogey and you will be given the difference between the Standard Scratch and the lowest card. It is a common misconception that your handicap should be an average of what you go round in. This is not the case. You should shoot your handicap or better only when you are playing well.

That's interesting. I was one of those who thought it was an average of the 3 qualifying cards.
That's actually cheered me up because I've handed 2 cards in so far, both of 12 over SSS after adjustments. I was hoping to start from my old handicap of 10 and thought I was going to have to shoot a silly score to get it. Now I know if I beat +12 I'll get the lower one. Thanks.
