Handicaps

That plus off Yellows is why the organisers will have gone for 3/4. And is it individual stableford or 4BBB?

As long as its a measured course what difference does it make which tee's/scoring formats are used (its not like some are playing off whites with others off yellow and some playing medal stroke play with others on stableford)

not sure what the measured course has to do with it, unless its for handicap cuts then a CSS would come into play. if its a group of guys playing then the lowest score wins, which does not bring in the CSS/SSS.

my place for instance is a good 1000 yards shorter that the white tee's where you play normal comps from, all the fairway bunkers are not in play if you are on winter greens and there is not rough to speak off. why should you get full handicap under those conditions.

3/4 of the course, then 3/4 handicap as far as i'm concerned;)

The whole field are playing the same course so it makes no difference if the course is playing longer/shorter, easier/harder than it did a couple of months back

Just because its shorter (& easier) it doesn't benefit the high handicap player over the low guy, they both benefit from having a shorter easier course to play, both should shoot the lights out relative to their usual score to handicap

edit to add: I get the point that full handicap probably isn't needed when a 1,000 yards is chopped off your course but that doesn't mean it causes any harm to use full handicap

edit, edit
If in full summer and full length my home course was actually a 1,000 yards shorter than your course and you played a comp at mine, would you take ¾ handicap for yourself to make it fair :D
