Handicap question

Evening fella's,
Well after a season of frustration iv won last weeks singles stableford comp....42 points off 18 (17.5 exact) and a nett 5 under par off 66....

My last 6 rounds have been comfortably inside my buffer and also weeks score will have me a nice cut i think...

Now the dilemma....
After finding out through the local paper i won last weeks comp it had me printed with 40 points....
Now i was 99% sure i had 42 points because i knew that i had gone out with 20 and came back with 22....But i began to second guess myself and thought i was after signing for a wrong score.....

So yesterday i rang the club as i had kept a second card of my score just for my own reference...Handicap secretary was off and our shop pro walked me through my round....Where he also totalled up 42 points....So i was ok on that front...

I had entered my score through the computer also last weekend and im baffeled as to why its not showing yet on Howdidido!

What the club pro reckons is that the handicap secretary added my out total of 20 points to the out box which sits under the in box at the end of the card instead of adding the out and in totals.......

Sorry if iv confused anyone.

So what do i do tomorrow in the singles again.....Do i play off 18 again or should i play safe and knock off the 1.8 thats coming to me for being 6 points better than CSS.

I think my maths are right.Im sure someone will correct me if im wrong.

Our course off the whites is Par 71 and SSS of 71

I think you need to play off the handicap that is correct, even if the H'cap sec has made a bollox of the scores.

Do they not have computers at your place?

This is whats bugging me....We have computers that take the G.U.I swipe cards....I did this last weekend and entered the score but to date there is no record of it on the Howdidido website or the GUI website...

They are obviously a little slow off the pace at our club....

Im wondering that if our club is computerised then why is the score not automatically updated from the moment of entry as well as the handicap adjustment....

It seems a bit ridiculous to have a computer system thats not up to date

Play off 16,scores should be updated soon,
I know at our club,weekend medal scores get updated as soon as the last cards go in,but in a midweek medal it can sometimes take upto 3 days for scores to come through,and the ladies section can sometimes be even longer,
