Handicap cards in.

Still waiting for a handicap. Only good thing is that yesterdays competition was cancelled due to the course being waterlogged, so at least I didn't miss out.
I have left my details at reception asking for match and handicap person to contact me. As yet no reply :(

Joined my new club in Feb and submitted my first card yesterday. I finished last season at 14.5 at previous course. I carded +11 on new course yest. Two more cards to go, unfortunately got other commitments in coming weeks so hopefully yesterday's good form does not wear off.

I have been scoring +12 in bounce games so trying to get under that, with end of season aim for <10

were you not able to transfer your handicap?

How can it take a week to allocate someones new handicap if all three cards have been correctly submitted ?

I have no idea. I presume if I had done something wrong they would have contacted me by now. Asked at the club on both Saturday and Sunday to be told it should be done by now, but my name still doesn't appear on the computer in the clubhouse.

In answer to how your first handicap is allotted it is based on the lowest score from which you subtract the SSS after any scores above 2 over par have been adjusted to 2 over par (3 over for ladies). If you fail to submit cards where you can be given the max handicap of 28 it is at the discretion of the handicap committee whether they issue a handicap or not.

I join Tandragee in Feb but could not put 3 cards in until the whole 18 holes was open, they were still playing the winter holes, but proper course was open mid march. I managed to get a card marked on the saturday, sunday and monday of the same week. so handed my 3 cards in on tuesday and they had me my handicap for the comp on the Saturday. SO it only took them 3 days to sort my handicap out!!! I would keep on at the club and tell that your missing out on the club comps al because of them being lacks

It took a bit for mine to come through until i caught the handicaps chairman having some lunch in the clubhouse and had a word. He issued it and emailed it that same day!

I am pretty sure that using that system at least one of my cards will come in at under 28, so I doubt that is the reason it hasn't been issued.

What do you mean by last season? If you joined your new club within 6 months of leaving your previous club, you retain your last handicap.
