After the All Blacks won yesterday they have rightly received lots of plaudits with some calling them the greatest ever sports team alongside the Brazil of 1970 , Windies of the 80's or Aussies of the 90's - even Barce recently or Munich in the 70's or Liverpool in the 80's

So the question is what team would you put in your top 3 of all time

Me - Liverpool in the 80's
Current NZ team
British Cycling Team 00's

Spain footy team when they were unstoppable a few years ago.
Current NZ rugby team.
Aussie cricket team when they won shed loads.

Wasn't there a sports team (could have been rugby union team or something) who have the longest unbeaten streak? Something daft like 2 years or summat.

1, Brazil 1970
2, West Indies 1970's
3, Rainworth Royals jazz band 1970s-80's. Untouchable

It's so hard to even try to compare teams from different sports, let alone different codes within the same sport.
I'm wondering if this is an impossible quest

Aaaarrgghhh!

As much as it pains me to say, Liverpool of the mid/late 70's.

The Welsh rugby team of the same era.

And the Windies 70's/80's

For teams I've seen, I'd go with (in date order)

Brazil football 1970
Wales rugby 1970's
Windies cricket 1980's
Aussie cricket 1990s-2000s

And finally, they only played one match but contained more of the world's leading players in their sport in one team than any other I can think of - the 1981 USA Ryder Cup Team

Jack Nicklaus
Tom Watson
Raymond Floyd
Lee Trevino
Tom Kite
Hale Irwin
Jerry Pate
Ben Crenshaw
Johnny Miller
Bill Rogers
Bruce Lietzke
Larry Nelson

I can only go with the teams I have seen so apologies to older people who have seen great teams before those mentioned:

West Indies 70-80's
Barcelona under Guardiola
New Zealand rugby, current (I don't like them but I have to acknowledge what they do)

Lots of Liverpool blinkers being worn I'm afraid. What about Real Madrid's 5 straight European Cup wins from 1956-1960?
