Well it doesnt get much better, played in our Monthly stapleford yesterday and managed to rack up 41 points with my best score around my course since I joined in March. Still wasn't good enough to win though as i was betten on countback 21 v 16. Yes I went out in 25 points.
Hit 10/14 fairways, 27 putts (green only) and 2/3 sand saves. Even managed a birdie 3 on a difficult par 4 where i get 2 shots (5 points) Superb drive straight down the middle over a stream leaving a 150 yard 7 iron over a large pond. The ball makes it over, hits the up slope and runs to 12 foot of the pin, one putt, great delight.
The course was ever so wet, and even though we played off the yellow's it felt like we were playing off the whites as we had to dig our balls out of the holes on the fairways.
Obviously I was delighted with my round, but it was great just to be back out on a course again.
