Great little tip, i think.

Tried the Pelz method and found I was losing any natural feel for the shot and was to regimented. I'd written the distances in the strokesaver for each wedge and the three distances with each. Now I look at the yardage on the GPS decide if I want to hit it high or low and play the shot with the appropriate wedge on feel now. Much more confident and better results

Couple of ex World #1s (Mens and Ladies), Major winners and multiple PGA/Euro Tour winners have ignored that tip - wouldn't seem essential! Also, sensibly, ignored the 'keep your head still one too!

Would you be surprised how easy it is to hit the ball well blindfold -or with eyes closed?

Yes true but the difference is they have more talent in their little fingers than the average club golfer has in their entire body.
I have also hit balls at the range with my eyes shut but that just emphasises my point. The average handicap golfer comes out of the shot too early because they are looking to see where the ball has gone. If you have your eyes closed then you tend not to do that because you are not thinking about watching the ball.

rory has marks on his wedges too when he wants to take a little off. i actually have a bit of tape at the top of my driver shaft to remind me to grip down in slightly!
