Ask the member there.....he'll be around soon.

Goswick is a legendary track, known by plenty and enjoyed by relatively few. To ask if it's a good course is like asking if the Pope is Catholic.....

I can confirm that you will go away after playing it and wonder why you have heard little about it.It is in great nick for the time of year too and gearing up for the Open local qualifying at the start of July.
Have fun and please come back on here and tell us how you found it....if you loved it please spread the word if not I will be very very suprised.

its an excellent course - the best and toughest of several fine links tracks on that stretch of the northumberland coast - it is probably in the top 200 golf courses in the british isles although it hasn't been shortlisted for this years top 100 rankings - i know - i do assessments for GM.

i'm sure you will enjoy it - don't worry too much about your score and play the par 5s conservatively

if you get the chance other courses that are well worth a visit are dunbar (vastly underrated!), north berwick, dunstanburgh castle and bamburgh castle

all the best

Got to disagree there,Dunbar vastly overated for me.Dunstanburgh Castle no great shakes and inveriably in awful condition and Bamburgh great for views and if you are a goat but as a golf course not worth the trip unless you like several blind shots, holes that are only missing windmills to complete the mickey mouse effect and never needing to hit anything other than Driver,9 iron or wedge.
