I have not found this to be the case, and I have goretex cycling kit too.

The newish Gore wear shake dry is excellent kit

For those that have had issues with Galvin Green, have you followed the care instructions.

1. Don't use fabric softener.
2. Rinse cycle after wash.
3. Following wash, tumble dry on low setting.
4. Finally iron to repel waterproof membrane.

It might be a faff, but it's worth it to keep them right.
My GG's have been fine.

That may be so in theory, but in practice Gore Tex is about as breathable as wearing a crisp packet.

My Paclite GG short sleeve rain top was more prawn cocktail, sweared like an antelope in it.

I’m a sweaty old bugger and have never had the slightest issue with goretex’s breathability

nor have i with my other Jacket that has the lining, just the Paclite
