Good start to 2010

Played today in the January stableford and won with 38 points.
Even with 3 blobs on the card, considering the course conditions, no temp greens but they were frozen and difficult to control the ball on. It's fair to say I'm well chuffed :)

By far the most used club was the 7 iron, for chip and runs that got me safely on the greens. That and the most consistent driving off the tee for a long time, gave me the good score today.

I make no apologies for blowing my own trumpet, 'cos I flipping well deserve it. :D :D

Happy Golfmmad.

Thanks Kid2,

I've already changed my profile/handicap. It had crept up to 25 at end of 2009. So you were right with 1.2 and now 23.8. :)

Hoping there's more to come :D

What is this game you play. Tell us about it, whats the rules. I used to play golf but that has all but gone from these shores. It's a shame, it was getting popular as well.

I'm into curling these days.

Anyway, well done....whatever game you played.

Thanks James,

Judging from your reply in the swing change thread, it seems that your swing/game is right where you want it to be.

Talking of a game in Spring, I was only speaking to Smiffy yesterday about a possible forum meet at Chartham Park again.
Smiffy is in hibernation now, but I'm sure he'll wake up very soon. :D

I thought you couldn't get a pull playing on temps and mats, it would have to be a score in the 40's to get pulled surely. Well done though it's always nice to win so congrats.

Not sure if you were referring to my post Drawboy, but I did say that there were no temp greens and all played off white competition tees. :)

Thanks for all replies guys. :)

Happy new year, :)

Like the idea of Chartham Park when the trees start to sprout.

Then I can get to see a REAL bandit in action - 38 points off 25 with 3 blobs?

Yeah, right. Nice to see the Mrs got you that Sombrero/Bandana ensemble for Crimbo for you, ok

PS Happy new year to you and yours
