I stand by my original comment. You don't have two handicaps unless someone else can enlighten me in which case I'd be happy to learn

Homer you are quite correct - you can only have one handicap no matter what the weather, season or how many golf clubs you are a member of....

Mono - what is the yardage, par and SSS of Bootle by the way?

36 points of my winter handicap (3 h/cap under society rules, otherwise 43 points off 9)
Started brightly and ended the front nine on -1 gross, second nine saw a lost ball on a par 3 (disappeared just over the green, must have plugged)and a tough bunker shot left in the bunker, still managed two birdies including a 5 wood and 4 iron to 3 feet on index 2 into a very stiff wind.
Finished with a bogey to sully the card a little but happy with 33 points of scratch (regardless of handicap!)
Roll on the first proper comp of the year in a fortnight, todays tees bar the second hole were pretty much at full fighting distance.

Shot a 66 net 61 in a winter competition, the course was playing it's full length but from the yellow tees. I 3 putted from 12 feet on a flat green but apart from that I'm very pleased. I've been working hard on my swing all winter and it seems to be paying off.

Had my best round today and in a competition as well.

We had the Monthly stableford on the Roman Road course (sss70) and I hit 39 points and a gross score of 81 nett 67 with a couple of sand saves and a couple of birdies. What pleased me most though was it's the first time I've kept a six off the card. Now can I continue it the next time I go out?
Good shooting squire.
Had a decent weekend myself, society outing yesterday at Headfort New, great course designed by Christy O'Connor, shot 37 pts off 13 to take the overall prize.
At home couse today, windy conditons, 15 pts front nine, but 20 pts back nine for a total of 35.
