Golfs clubs in the car??

My car is like a golf shop. I have my golf bag, two pairs (minimum) of shoes, waterproofs (x2), umbrellas, at least 24 golf balls (boxed), a spare jumper or two, three driver shafts, a klikka tube of practice balls, spare trousers and shirt, mud brush, quite a few hats, a rain cover, often a leccy trolley, and god knows what else. Then I also have two cagoules, four hi viz, fire extinguisher, flashing orange roof light, warning triangle, first aid kit, jack, wheel brace, socket set, bulb kit, spare wheel, etc. There is probably more if I thought about it.

And half a golf course worth of mud, leaves and grass cuttings.

I had loads of grass and dirt in my boot whilst using a trolley but this has drastically reduced now I'm carrying. I did get the occasional moan from HID but nothing major really. Best thing about the carry bag re transport is that I can fit the bag in the boot without having to take my driver out first!

I am so anal about my car you would not believe it. It's only a Polo but it my first new car and I will not have any dirt in it at all. I have a boot liner in the boot and the shoes are in a shoe bag, I always have the hood on the bag to stop the clubs scratching the boot. Clubs come out and the damp rag goes in to wipe the boot out.
The clubs and bag gets cleaned after every round anyway. Not to everyone's taste but I was brought up to take care of my stuff and it just comes naturally to me.

i have a sports coupe so drop back seats, plastic liner over floor, trolley has a bag so does my shoes and i have a holdall and suit bag for my clothes and smellies, cant stand people who just chuck dirty wet shoes etc in the back of the car, makes me think of them being slovenly.

The only bit of golf gear that is not permanently in my car is the clubs. In the boot are about 4 pairs of shoes (may be more buried), half a zdozen or so caps, if I buy a box of balls then some go in the bag and the rest in the boot, there are waterproofs, windproof tops the lot and my trolley and the battery (except when I bring it in to charge)

The clubs, however, always come inside as I only have on the road parking and I really do not want to risk them.

In my experience the club bag doesn't get that dirty.
The trolley and shoes are a different matter.
The shoes go into a shoe bag and the powakady twin line 3 folds up and fits into a standard powakady zip up bag
So everything is contained.
I also have a boot liner which stops any mud getting onto the carpets
Job done :)

I carry so very little dirt.

Muddy or grassy shoes go into a shoe bag so no mess from that.

The wife and I have a car each. I run the Avensis as it has a boot big enough to host a small 5-a-side tournament and has plenty of room for 2+ sets of clubs plus a trolley or 2.

Perfect golfing car IMHO  .

My clubs are in the boot of the car 99% of the time. Its my mobile locker. There is usually grass, mud and sand in my boot along with two pairs of golf shoes, a selection of umbrellas and a bag of practice balls.

Sounds like my car...My wife hates me for it.
And the sound of loose golf balls rolling about in the boot whenever the ar stops LOL

Clubs used to stay in the car, but after getting new shineys recently the bag stays in a nice warm house overnight.Just means that I am regularly avoiding HID spotting my gear exiting and entering the house.

I have a Megane, 2 bags in the boot along with two pairs of shoes, 2 trolleys in bags on backseat and two drivers in back footwell. Very minor mess even after 2 or 3 months with no clean.

Funny this as i have just left my bag in after a trip to the range after being asked if they could live there instead of indoors. So - bag clubs and shoes are now homed in the boot. I'll see how long it lasts, I am sure they are much happier if they are indoors!

When I bother to use the storage bag for my trolley then is isn't bad and keeps the dirt contained from the trolley. I have a shoes bag which does the same for footware. Not much dirt on the bag itself and as I use head covers there is minimal transfer from any clubs. The fact I have a dog and the car is also used to transport hay bails for the guinea pigs and rabbits it basically means that the car is a tip. Add the fact I smoke in it and it's not really that pretty inside. More annying is the number of tees that are scattered around the inside of the car.

Gokart goes in the storage bag in the boot clubs on top. Have a blanket in the bank, so generally shake that out. The war office does get wound up from time to time, often to the extent she takes the car to be valeted:)

In the car I had before christmas i could get 3 sets of clubs in comfortably, or 2 sets and a push trolley until some git rear ended me and wrote it off. It was a Skoda Octavia vrs, not a super cool car make for someone just the wrong side of 30 but I loved the thing and perfect for golf.

Now i'm in a much smaller car and so much harder to get gear in that i've ditched using the push trolley recently and started using carry bags again. So the routine is to make sure the boot liner is positioned to catch any dirt then the bag goes in without the woods in as it won't fit, shoes in next in a shoe bag. The driver, 3 wood and holdall with change of clothes goes on the back seat, thens its the same for the journey home from the course.

The clubs and shoes get a clean soon as i'm through the door then they live the life of comfort in the spare room.

Once the insurance comes through finally the decision on new car will be premium on space for clubs and gear as well as comfort for long distance driving for when I pick my kiddies up fom Chester.

mine varies, sometimes the bag would stay in the boot for weeks others in the house in my mancave formerly known as the dining room. Once I start hitting the range it will stay in the boot (back seat down). I also always have 2 pairs of shoes as 1 set are more for dry weather the others aql, a holdall with waterproofs, balls, tee's, gloves etc.

I clean the car once a week generally so the boot always gets a good hoover out and now I have moved to carry only I never have any issues with mud etc.

Luckily as a single bloke I can do what I want and no wench to moan at me :D

I have just switched to a small car, so now keep clubs in the locker at the GC, have just put a couple of spare clubs in the boot for practice, if I am playing away clubs will now have to go in back on folded seats.

The wife ferries our two large dogs around in her car and has her boot area fully lined, so any dirt from golf stuff is minor in comparison

I love my Astra van. However once having a set of clubs stolen from my vehicle I am now a little paranoid on this issue. Whether in my van or the wife’s car. I never leave the clubs in the vehicle longer than I need too. I won’t even store them in the garage.

Another question, if your car was stolen what would upset you most, the loss of the car or the golf clubs in the boot?
