Golfing purchase of the year???

Pair of Ecco biom golf shoes from the Pro shop at Carnoustie. If I had bought them before rather than after the round I wouldn't now have trench foot.

Best purchase has to be the pros time although not for a lesson... (this would be in the worst golfing purchase thread which will no doubt come along in a wee while)... but for the time it took him to lob 2½ inches off my driver. Transformed how I can use it

TM Rocketbladez Tour 3-PW
TM RBZ stage 2 3wood with TP stiff shaft

Seemore FGP putter @33inches (what a difference an inch makes)

Ping Rapture V2 9* driver with Diamana blue shaft

I feel 'prepared' for next season with winter to get them all bedded in:whistle:

I didn't actually buy it, but the Ping putter from the GM & Ping day at Forest of Arden has been the best addition to my golf bag.
Thanks once again to the guys at GM & Ping

I have not actually "purchased" a lot... But the lessons i had at the start of the year were great, and then discovering the Wilson DX3 ball for me has been great! performs no worse than a Lethal for me at my level and more than half the price!

The cleveland classic xl 5 wood off eBay, the 4i hybrid off eBay looks also to be an amusing addition. Got rid of a lot of stuff but one thing that I had been holding onto for a rainy day was the Scotty del mar, well that made its way into my bag and we are in love .. It sinks putts frequently feels so nice ... Oh and the RTX 56 degree cleveland wedge got on the trade in deal, they make the best wedges ever. I would have bought others but being a stay at home husband is not like being a stay at home wife, I don't have a friggin land rover, a big diamond ring, personal trainer, membership to the tennis club, or a licence to shop for unnecessary tat ... When will men be equal? I have started doing hot yoga though, and have been known to go to a coffee morning with the other mums ( under strict instruction not to eat any cake though, my wife has a grass in the group, which is why I now abstain and go elsewhere and have cake and minstrels etc...)

Bought a G25 3 wood at the start of the season to fill my bag from driver to 3 iron. I couldn't hit it for toffee, low bullets every time. Traded it in for a i20 5 wood....what a difference. Its an utter weapon, so easy to hit and can launch it miles in the air or low if needs be. I can fade it and unbelievably draw it with some regularity. It's been a game changer for me, par5's can be dispatched with ease and I finally have another option off the tee.

Callaway Big Bertha Fusion 3 and 5 woods. Always struggled with my G20s and in fact stopped even trying with the 3 wood. Knew I liked the look of smaller headed woods and Imurg set me in the direction of the steelheads and then found a fusion 5 wood for £30 on Ebay. Loved it from day one and then bought the matching 3 wood, with which every shot played to date is better than any I ever hit with the G20.

A Swingyde.... Changed my swing from overly flat, to just mildly flat and as a result, took the excess strain off my inner elbow, resulting in the first pain free round for 5 months... Worth its weight in gold...

epon 701 50 degree wedge.

Only a couple of quid in the bargain bin (some poor sod must have left it on the course a couple of years back)

Filled a gap and incredibly easy to hit and forgiving. Unfortunately the matching iron set is out of my budget. Unless there's 4 - pw in bins around the country left by the world's most forgetful rich golfer.

Gregbwfc was tellin a few of us at St Anne's about you managing to start playing again without pain, was good to hear. Hopefully we can get that four-ball arranged for Formby once ya back in the groove.
