So regularly on TV would basically mean getting through the cut and being challenging enough in most tournaments to feature on TV on the PGA and Euro tours...how many people is that? A few score at most, out of the entire world ?

Unfortunately that's the case, now that the Trilby Tour is no more.

Yes, but those are the people who are really good at golf. Everyone else is just varying degrees of rubbish.
