Golfing goals for the new year

What are your golfing goals for the new year.Heres mine

Go round in even par or better

Handicap back to playing off single figure (9.7)

Hole in one

Get my first eagle on home course

and the toughie.keep my temper/frustration under control

all this will commence once my "mallett finger" healed in

approx 4 weeks

Just to sort out my swing at the moment thats my first prioriety.....If i can start striking the ball on a better plane then im sure things will start falling into place.
Once in some bit happy with that then ill make a goal and try achieve it...

usually keep my specific goals to myself, but having fun and maintaining my composure are def on there.

Would love single figs, but going to try and not put too much pressure on myself.

Sort out the driving and consolidate the 8 handicap. I'll try to drop it further but the priority has to be not going up.

Hey DTM - par or better and a hole in one as goals seems a bit hard to achieve doesn't it? Especially the par round playing off 10. Hope you get them though.

1. Drop 3 strokes off of my handicap
2. Play a round without a three-putt
3. Play at least half a dozen courses in the top 100
4. Clean my shoes more!

Not to worried if I dont achieve any of them, It was just somethings I'd like to try and do. Would settle for the sinlge figure tho got down to 8.6 then my game just crept away from me

My aim for 2010 was to hit 12 but after a bad spell I failed , so.....

Get to 12 by aug
Play every monthly medal
Play atleast 10 new courses
Beat my personal best of 9 over

I'd like to shave 10 off my handicap. Will start trying to do this in our February Winter League.

Went up from 5 to 6 in july then played really consistantly after that. My goal for 2011 is to get down to 4 which is achievable if i can sort my putting out, its the only part of my game that lets me down.

Just to concentrate better on the shot in hand, and not throw away shots that I'm perfectly capable of making.

If I manage that, then all the figures will look after themselves.

I'm with Oddsocks - my personal best is 9 over par; i reckon there is one course where 6 over is very doable.

Also, same as hapless hacker, not to dwell on a previous shot, concentrate on the here & now, do the best from each given shot.

I aspire to get to around 11 handicap by the end of 2011.

Also to get my birdie count close to 1 per round (31 from 48 rounds in 2010), another couple of eagles (or so) would be nice, and of course that much sought after hole in 1 would be great too

Oh and finally to break my duck in our TGA Society, and try to maintain my 2 or 3 wins a year in our STAGS work Society

So not much there then!!

Mine are to play more than I did in 2010.

I aim to play all medals this year and try to get down to 13.
