golfcare or golfplan insurance

Just recently bought the golfcare insurance, the one you see advertised everywhere. Since then picked up a leaflet for the golfplan, which although a tenner a year more is far preferable once you read the small print. You get what you pay for. For example, if you injure yourself and cant play golf on golfcare there is a three month excess before you get any compensation toward your membership fee whereas the golfplan it is only 30 days!

I think the small print also says injure yourself while playing golf! Ive looked around but still undecided on which insurance but the golfplan looks one of the better ones. Anyone else have any good policies?

Most important thing for me is new for old but as mine are five years old most don't cover.

Shop around on the internet is my advice. I use Carrick Neil and they did me a good quote including a clause for theft from my locker which wasn't included in some I looked at.

I use Carrick Neill, have done for a considerable time after being let down by one of the two in the OP. Never had any issues and have added my wife and her equipment to the policy as well.
