We've always stayed on a hotel resort style but have decided to do it similar to the above this year. Travelodge family rooms for £30, spoons across the road and a couple of decent courses to play.

Good init? Have a look at Premier Inn though. If you book now, in some of them ypou can get in for £30-£35. We do Sun-Mon-Tues. Really cheap. It also means the golf can be cheap as well, as you are not playing at the weekend for two of the days and sometimes the Sunday can be really cheap too. We did our trip two year ago for £95!!!!! Two nights, three rounds!!!!! (Food and beer extra). If you can get near a Toby Carvery then all you can eat breakfast for £4.25 !!!!!! Challenge accepted!!!!!! :D

Another vote for Foxhills.

1 really great course, another very good course, fantastic hotel and rooms, various bar and dining options. Loved it. The only better stay and play venue I've visited is Gleneagles.
