golf trousers

Guy last weekend had a pair of lime trousers, nothing unusual as he normally wears bright red trousers.

I used to know a bloke who would tip up at the club with pink trousers on, topped off with a yellow shirt.
Or yellow trousers with an orange shirt.
He looked like a pkt of Opal Fruits

Totally, popped up the club yesterday with HID for a few beers and he was dressed pretty normal tbh.

I just can not help it but buy dull colours, in fact I have a turquoise ping top that I got yesterday and that’s about as colourful as I get lol.

Popped into Sports World yesterday and they have some decent kit in, they have re-released the Dunlop golf trousers with a lighter material and they feel great and are only £7.99, didnt buy them as they still have the Dunlop sign below the pocket (snob I know and I own a pair of the old ones)!! They have some nice Nike Golf kit in as well as some Adidas kit.

Amatuers should only be allowed to wear navy or black trousers imo.

You've got to be of a good standard of golfer to carry off multi coloured attire imo.

Its like seeing these young pro footballers who haven't kicked a ball in the 1st team wearing white boots, only world class players should wear white boots.

Nah, Everyone should make an effort to look good on the golf course no matter what their standard of play & if people feel good wearing either posh names, or bright colours, if that confidence translates into their game & helps them in that way, then all the better.

How many blokes go down to the pub in their favorite football shirt.... I don't because I couldn't give a T*$$ about football, but the analogy applies to most, so I'll use it, if they can go down to the pub in their favorite football shirt or the sunday afternoon kick around, then why not make that same effort to go to the golf club in good looking gear.

Why go down wearing boring clothes, when so much better is available. Leave the boring clothes for when the weather is inclement, when you won't mind mucking up a cheap pair. Then break out your best pair of whatever makes you feel good when its sunny like today.

Golf clubs would be much more interesting places if people made a real effort to organise & co-ordinate their outfits before they went out. There are not that many opertunities where us blokes can outshine the other halves in what we waear over the year, the golf course is a perfect opertunity to do just that & should do just that.

If everyone wore Beige, black or blue, life would be prettry boring.
Don't get me wrong, these colours have a place and I have plenty of gear in those colours.

Let the colours come out, I think it reflects one's personality.

I used to have a pair of Yellow and a pair of red trousers that I used to go out in when I was in my early twenties.

I like nice bold checks & some colour but not too OTT.

Cernunnos, is there something you want to share with us, maybe something your missus doesnt know ;)

Only that my first good exam at school was Art & Design, though never bothered to take that to A-Level, even though I could have & the art teacher urged me to... Didn't see any point in going down that avenue any further. Was more interested in the sciences & geography at school. But I do have artistic talents, or at least have been told I do. Nothing more.

Don't talk crap.

Whats a good standard then to wear white trousers when the sun's blazing down in the summer?

Do you also limit your shirts to black and blue?

Lighten up and dare to be different.

Andy

I play at a 'Beige' golf club most of my trousers cannot be worn here as i get shouts of 'he thinks he is Poulter'

Get the pastels out

I wear what is smart to me, whether it is loud to anyone else I couldn't give one iota.

The louder and brighter the better as far as I'm concerned.

Nothing better than spending some serious cash on top notch golf gear and looking the man.

Poulters pink trousers yesterday were immense.

Andy

Flip sake, some right boring old farts on here.

I have orange, pink, yellow, sky blue, mint green and white trousers for golf as well as beige chinos and standard slaters black numbers. Need to get a nice smart red pair as well.

Lighten up guys and grow some balls.

only ALAN BALL should have been allowed to white boots

I get a lot of stick for the trousers i wear ( oh here comes Jesper )but you've got to keep your self nice is what i say to them , plus our club is full of old farts who'd make you wear a jacket and tie if they could get a way with it.

I'm a soberly dressed boring golfer. My games not that good that I wish to draw attention to myself !!!
Black and dark blues for me. I almost bought a red polo a few weeks ago, the missus gasped in disgust when I suggested it. Personally I thought it looked quite classy.

It's be nice as a magazine feature if you guys playing the Belfry ALL played in the loudest golfing attire you possess. Would be great for the magazine - visually!!!

Flippin eck.......eeeeeewwwwwwww

Is that one pair or 6 different pairs of troos?

One pair like that! Now that would be smart.

Should be able to find a shirt no problem with all these colours in tow!
