Golf this weekend

The scores had been steadily getting better over recent weeks and I finally managed to put it all together and shoot 95 for a net 67 in the monthly medal. It was leading when I left so fingers crossed it stays that way.

Looking forward to getting a cut and shifting the 28 handicap!

No golf this weekend, but the reason for that is I was in St Andrews Thursday & Friday.

Thursday a wee warm up round at The Kittocks, followed by playing The Old Course on Friday :D

Ok, opted out of the planned practice session for today. Not because of the weather, but because I went bowling with my colleagues last night, a bit of a spontaneous company outing and we ended up in a cocktail bar later. And my bosses were paying. It was a long night. Word of caution: stay away from cocktails which are served in a skull. I totally could not muster the energy to go out to the golf course today. Comp tomorrow is still on, though, and I feel recovered enough to look forward to that

Not good matey. Is that the detailed summary? Thought you were chugging along nicely

I never felt right from the off Martin, although up to the 7th I was 1 under and driving really well, although I was very tired after falling asleep early and being up since 3am, and then back to back silly blobs saw me implode. Everything became halfhearted, lacklustre, with no commitment, I just couldn't concentrate, it was as though I was somewhere else, a real lesson today about being mentally strong, which I clearly wasn't.

Happens. Some good stuff in there early doors though and we don't want you peaking early. It's YOFT and no good getting there too soon mate

Not long back from a 3 hour group coaching session.

Best £15 I've spent in a while.

Playing with the Quintec Putting Laser was a real eye opener.

Looking forward to the return match at Dullatur GC on Sunday with Ger147.

Had a great day in short sleeve weather on a nice dry course. Trying to look for the positives after starting well and being 3 up thru 4 holes but finished up losing 2 down on the last and £3 lighter!! :)

Highlight of the day was my competitor's 50+ foot putt from well off the Par 3 11th green for a birdie 2.

I played half decent but a few blob holes cost me and my opponent was much steadier on the day.

Well played sir, looking forward to the return on Tuesday.

Thanks for the game mate it was most enjoyable , thought i was in for a right gubbing when you went 3 up after 4.

But i plodded away and scored net 69 , 37 stableford points, I was really delighted with my magic 2 at a the 190 yard par 3 , BTW the putt was only 25ft :D.
So let that be a lesson to you , trying to get a poor old pensioners Leccy money, shame on you
