Play it if you ever get the chance. Gorgeous layout running through the dunes, spectacular par 3s over the water, green complexes that have to be seen to be believed.quite fancied playing there when i visited my brother who lives out there. cost to take the clubs was astronomical at the time. plus the wife didnt want me buggering off to play golf
Condition second to none. Seriously I would be happy to have their fairways as greens to play on in winter. The green surrounds which stretch for 30-40 yards in lots of directions are literally better than most UK summer greens.
Fabulous course.

Great place! Look out for Lee, walking a lab called Oli... he's a top man, also a member at Dunbar. I know he walks Oli at Dunbar, assume allowed same at Goswick.
Smashing place to play golf, still more improvements in the plan.

Took a couple of photos of our new 2nd green with earthwork completed (I think) - and trying out a new way of reducing size of photos I've just discovered (and its works! )
Not very good photos - but top one is from the back of the green looking up to the level it'll be at the back and one of the back bunkers.
The other is from what will be short and right of the green showing the front right green-side bunker. The actually level of the green is a bit lower than the mounds that surround right and back. A bit of then green can be seen at the very edge of the photo half way up, and just to the right of the front right bunker between the two mounds. Note that if we go through the gap between the two back mounds we end up in the bunker shown in the top photo.
I for one think it's going to be an awesome green. Of course those opposed to the building of the new hole say the money should have been used to keep subs increase this year to a minimum.
I'm going to play a few holes later this afternoon and will see if I can get a photo look down the proposed new fairway to the green.
And I've discovered a quick and easy way to resize photos (on my MacBook Air)
