Golf stuff in the post - Royal Mail strikes...

i buy courier shipping for golf clubs via a third part reseller, Interparcel. Parcels2go is a similar company.

One golf club sized box guaranteed delivery to anywhere in mainland UK is £6.99 + VAT. That is not bad and they pick the parcel up from me at work or home. Northern Ireland is the same price as mainland UK.

I recently wanted to send something to Ireland. Went to the Parcelforce website and best rate was £25. UPS £14.50. Likewise US. Golf club sized package 2 day service £35. Parcelforce over £50 and slower.

The only time I will choose Royal mail or Parcelforce is if the item is very cheap and I use Standard Parcels.

I now have the travel cover. 'delivered' by courier company, APC - never heard of them before.
they asked the sender for a phone number (for me) then never used it. instead they took the package back to their depot - so 50 mile round trip to collect it from an industrial estate too new to be on any maps or gps. what fun!
