My first choice at the moment is flying into Dublin, Portmarnock (hotel course not championship), K Club (Palmer) and Druids Glen (glen course), what do you think?

Portmarnock Hotel Links is very good indeed. Like it a lot. K Club and Druids Glen are great if you have the dosh and want to play parkland golf. You could also look at Carton House which is in the same bucket.

Personally I prefer links, and that is what Ireland does best. There are a range of great options, some bigger names than others around. It is also pretty easy to go up the coast a bit to Co Louth and the courses in that area.
