I'm new to the forum. I am seeking advice on which golf game for the PC to buy, to while away those hours on aircraft etc. Hear that EA's Tiger Woods games are not great, loads of weaknesses, I did play Links many years ago and wasn't that impressed. Anybody got any good experiences of other games?

Can I echo that please..

Had Tiger's 07 game for a while and it has got a little easy - I've won 47 tournaments in a row and if I'm not 30+ under par at the end I've played badly. Shot a 58 round Sawgrass last week - oh if only...

Imurg have you tried changing the difficulty setting from easy :D

I can't remember if 07 had it, but 08 and 09 both have tour pro difficulty mode and changing to this will quickly make things more challenging. If you are getting these scores on the tour pro mode where you get no spin or power boost function, and no indication of the break on your putt you are a genius!

12 under is my record on tour pro difficulty on Tiger woods 08, I'm still playing on balanced I think it is on 09.

And as for unijim you will not find anything as up to date or more realistic than the Tiger Woods games.

nah tbh you get used to it and you can 2 putt 99% of the time anyway, you just can't make those 100 ft putts from the other side of the green. Putting is not the hardest part not having the spin to get your ball close to the pin is what I miss in it- especially out of the bunker, that really does make scoring harder. It is still easier than in real life though don't worry.
