I have been advised by the Dr, that I need to wear shoes with as much forgiveness in order to preserve my dodgy knees. Does anybody have any advice on which golf shoes provide good 'shock-impact' and 'springiness'? I have a pair of FJ Icons at the moment and while they are comfy, I find that they are quite hard-soled and don't ease the impact on my knees very much.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

what about the more trainer like ones, I think a few of the pro's wear them for this reason

failing that Mizuno stability look quite springy or GEOX ones look extremely comfy/springy

Try eithe some of the trainer style shoes from Ecco, Nike, adidas etc or for more "traditional" golf shoes Nike Air, Puma Cell or adidas Tour 360's.

I'm an adidas man myself and the shoe and insole are well cushioned. A friend has some Puma's and says likewise

Hadn't realised until I read this but Nov/Dec last year I occasionally needed to wear one of those knee support things but since switching to the Ecco 'trainer style' in Jan I havn't need it once so maybe it does help somewhat

Lovely shoes the Mizzy, but unfortunatley, nt very robust.

A playing partener of ours has had 3 pairs exchanged under warrenty. They seem to rot quicker than a Lancia!!
