Golf plans this weekend

Celtic Cup at my course tomorrow then may join up with the old man and his mate after the comp for the back 9.

Out for the football Sunday then out at 9.30 on Monday for a social round.
 
Played Moray old last night, played with the boys in a roll up this morning.

We have out annual Gullane match on Sat and Sunday, its at home this year, its usually a bit of a booze up, but i have to be somewhere after so driving:(

Prob play in the roll up on Monday as well.
 
Played today,playing all weekend and Monday.
3 days running qualifier for our course pro-am.
Will need over 41 points im sure.
Had 39 today and a playing partner had 41.
Bowmaker team event Sunday.
 
Blew all my brownie points on drunken night last night, so had planned three rounds but will only now get away with tomorrow's roll up. Weather is baking hot down here in West Wales hope it's same for the rest of you.

First round of our bogie comp - the Haig Cup. You can out two cards in over any four days of Easter. Played today and finished two down to the course. Not best but it seems to be handily placed based on scores in when I left but I reckon there will be some plus scores in.

I didn't play great, certainly off the tee. Many of you will know the first is 229 yards. Hit it to six feet. Walked off with a four and a half after three putting and a trend was set. Playing the second round tomorrow hopefully but home to a wife with a migraine so plans now very fluid. Was hoping to play every day this weekend but that's looking unlikely
 
Same as Homer, I think I left my putter in Florida as you'd think I was putting with a piece of old rope :mad:

5 down to the course, still there's always round two.
 
Better ball today with HID and a tidy 40 points. Both played really solid and finished with 3 pointers on final 3 holes. My GIR was down compared to lately but putted well for me - isn't that just golf?! Played with 2 nice guys who were very complimentary about my game but took it back with jibes about the red tees etc - blah blah blah! I did drive well so think that peed them off :-)

Day off tomorrow as played way too much golf of late. Swindle on Sunday, weather permitting and then a greensomes comp with HID on Monday. Stableford on Tues...on next week starts!!
 
Just got back from the Christmas comp (rearranged due to rain) at my club Oxley Park in Wolverhampton (parred 4 of the last nine) Off with the family to holiday home in Llansantffraid tomorrow. Playing llanymynech Monday morning. Happy days boys, the summer is on us!!
 
Charity comp this morning, in memory of one of our lady members who passed a few years ago. Team event where best 3 from 4 count, we managed a very respectable 119 points (11 under), only good enough for 2nd but some brownie points at home for winning an easter egg :) . Sadly my back seized up a little after a dozen or so holes and only got worse as it got colder, played pretty good up to that point. Easter Cup tomorrow morning (stableford) assuming my back is ok, day off Sunday and then may enter the free format stableford Monday depending on other plans.

Do wonder who upset our head greenkeeper yesterday, never seen our pins in such hard positions, even on club champs!!!!

As for next week or two not really sure now as they are tining and top dressing our greens on Tuesday so they are going to need time to settle again so may be trying to find an away game or two

Easter is time to get in the garden, and tackle the triffids that have suddenly shot up everywhere. Cut the grass that has suddenly become like US Open rough. Plant some shrubs to block out our neighbours, and generally get loads of credit points so I can play more in the summer.:thup:

You would have thought the course would have given you the hole, with two putts from 6 feet for a win.:)
 
First qualifier of the year for me today.

34 points (shot 88) and currently 13th on count back.

Buffer zone I suspect.

Second comp tomorrow, then thats probably it for the weekend.
 
Played in the first round of the 4BBB knockout today. Got beat on the 20th hole, but thoroughly enjoyed a cracking match against 2 really top blokes, all 4 of us played some good stuff. never more than1 hole in it, and the lead swapped hands on a regular basis.

Medal comp tomorrow, first qualifier of the year for me.

Then on tuesday I have an 18 hole playoff for the Ellison Cup, a 7 club comp that I tied on 39 points for a couple of weekends ago. Playing against a 7 hcp, and will have a match referee for the first time ever. Also my first chance to get my name on the wall at my new club, so looking forward to it.
 
Played a nock out match today shot 1 under gross and won 5&4
Tomorrow stable ford comp
Sunday having a game with beezerk and snell
Monday no plans but might have a game or practice
 
Had a friendly 18 holes this morning, course is looking great. Tomorrow stableford comp in the morning and then pairs knock out in the afternoon. Sunday, pairs stableford comp and then on monday singles knock out. Busy weekend :)

Yep same as as you rich,decking done,fences to be done. Playing Monday and Thursday , being a nomad I play all sorts!
