Golf plans this weekend

Sun is shining and we're out soon with NWJ plus it's the grand re-opening of our new look 5th. First medal comp of the season tomorrow for HID plus I've a driver fitting then I'm out for a quick nine late afternoon. Usual bounce game on Sunday then on Monday me and HID are playing our first board comp - a mixed foursomes. Don't think we'll come anywhere close to winning though. Still speaking to each other after the round is a bonus I've been told

Easter Cup stableford today and tomorrow, so planning going up for 18 with oldest son this afternoon, and possibly tomorrow if I can negotiate it

No golf for me unfortunately. I played Wednesday but my back went on back nine so I am out of action for a few days shame as the weather is perfect and I was playing well with 20 points out but then I could hardly swing the club and came back with 12 points and a pronounced limp what is most annoying it was my first round with my new trolley which was supposed to help my back but it was worse than ever

8:00am shotgun start for a pairs betterball on Saturday (forecast is pretty good @ 31° so at least its getting cooler)

Sunday is the range and then watch F1

Don't worry about the mixed foursomes - try to hit him into bunkers and then laugh out loud - works for me :ears:

I was out for 18 on the big course with the new irons yesterday (still grinning) and new hybrid (still cursing) - off to St Andrews to the Links driving range shortly then have to pick up the lad as he's going to interview a footballer at lunchtime - dump him off afterwards then 18 on the wee course.

Tomorrow will just be fifty balls at the range before photographing football and video editing all day/evening.

Sunday is a lesson at 9am, then off to shoot more football at lunchtime before getting in 18 holes in the afternoon.

No plans yet for Monday - first senior open of my life next Thursday (at Strathmore) so will be gearing up towards that.

Am due to be playing tomorrow and Monday. ........ but I ran the London marathon last weekend and have a blister on each foot which isn't healing quickly enough and is giving me trouble walking. So I may have no plans.....who knows.

Out today, four ball with Kraxx our mate and his father in law, not expecting a quick round, but it'll give me plenty of time to try and work out the greens as, at the moment they have me flummoxed.

Then tomorrow first stroke play round of the season and our long course is open, which ups the par from 68 to 71.

Missed out in the ballot for the Old Course tmrw so playing the new then getting a privileged tour of the R&A, Trophy Room and rest of the building whoop whoop

Hopefully playing the Jub on Sunday too then doubles tie on Monday @ Largs.

Got a nice round in yesterday evening at Machynys, 2nd round in total for the week so that should see me through until next week so nothing planned this weekend apart from possibly a short range session tomorrow morning while the girl is in work.

Played Manning's Heath yesterday but nothing planned for today or Saturday (hoping to relax a bit and let my back recover, after a bit of pain during the week). Sunday playing in our St George's Day qualifier, with the new big dog! If the weather improves then I might try and get out Monday morning too !

Just played 18 with 6 others in a friendly game! Perfect weather!

Strange round for me! Awful off the tee (unusual) 3 putted on 5 Different occasions and still scored 34 points in a gross 94.

Fairways, chipping and pitching all good! Even a couple of decent bunker shots!

Some bizarre skywards shots with the driver! Which is unlike me, and I don't know what caused it???

Still a lovely morning!

First comp of the season and its a greensomes. Had a quick nine last night on the whites just to remember how some holes look from the back!
