Golf plans this weekend

Well that was erm, well, frankly quite embarrassing. I played my second round of our bogey comp today hoping to putFriday's dismal display of putting and 5 hole defeat behind me.

I had a 4 footer for par on the 1st and missed (lost hole)
Chipped to 2 feet on 3 and missed. (Lost hole)
Chipped to inside 2 feet on 6 and missed (lost hole)
3-stabbed 7...and 8...and 9 :mad: (lost holes)

Just after we tee'd off on 12 the heavens opened and we had to leave the course for thunder and lightning. I wasn't going to go back out but decided I would...

Chipped to 3 feet on 13 and missed (lost hole)
3-stabbed 15...and 16 (from 4 feet) (lost holes)
3-stabbed 18 (lost hole)

38 putts and got battered by the course. On the plus side, my chipping is improving :rofl:

I've had dodgy spells with the putter before so I'm sure it's nothing a bit of practice won't solve. I'll hole everything next week :D
 
36 points in the st George's Stableford. Driving was quite poor in parts, recovery was good, but didn't hole any putts, and blob on my second hole didn't really help my mindset.

Midweek medal on Thursday, so will see how that works, as haven't played one for over a year.
 
Pathetic round of golf today in the end of winter season bash at a local club. Greens weren't the best but 3 three putts and a four putt helped me on my way to a scabby 26 points.
 
Absolute rubbish in today's medal.

88, and that's my net score. :o

Had an 8 on the par 3 second without even losing a ball, and then two shots OB helped me along to a round 10 on the par 4 fourth.
 
Just finished 18 holes at the stunning 9 hole course in Tobermory on the Isle of Mull. Fantastic sunny weather and a great wee layout. The viewsrange from awesome to breath-taking. Could well be the most scenic course I've played. Don't miss it if your up here and get the chance to play.
 
34 points and 0.1 back as CSS was 38 :angry: 2 pathetic no scores as well but made a flukey 2 with a 40 ft putt :D Edging closer to 11 with another 0.1 back tomorrow guaranteed
 
HID won the comp yesterday and had a good cut as well. No pressure in the foursomes with him tomorrow for me then..........:confused:
 
Up at the crack of dawn yesterday to play llanymenech. 8 (count em!) points on the front nine. 22 on the back nine including a 30 footer for birdie on the 18th (of course the length will go up each and every time i tell it). Talk about a game of two halves!

Well my third and final effort this morning to qualify for the pro am.
A friend of mine had 41 Saturday and someone else had 43 so I knew
I needed a very good round.
3 of out this morning and I shot level par for 42 points so depending
on all the results coming in heres hoping.
With out team victory yesterday all in all a great weekend.
Roll on Woodhall.
 
Got beat on the 20th hole of the 4bbb knockout on Friday, should have won but a good learning experience.

net 75 in the medal on Saturday, but looks like I made the buffer so no 0.1 this time.

18 hole playoff for the first board comp of the year tomorrow afternoon, 7 club stableford, playing against a 7hcp
 
Played a round at Gullane today, pretty breezy and quite a tricky course given the conditions. Quite hilly in places which was a bummer, I was hoping for a few gentle undulations at most. :)

And after 26 pathetic points today I will be an 11 handicap tomorrow :angry:
 
Got 36 points in a pro roll up comp today Yay! Was winning but unsure of tonight's scores! Oh and of course played two rounds in Scotland too ( won the beat your mate and brother comp) double yay ;)
 
40 points in Bank Holiday Mixed for 3rd place and 15 pound each in the pro shop :)

Will try not to dwell too much on the two tap in's i missed which would have given us the win :whistle:

definitely a qualifier as others have had reductions ... but noticed a least one of them had only been reduced by one shot after shooting 37 (not sure on the others as I don't know their starting handicap). Will be asking for investigation.
 
144 points over the course of 4 rounds, 34-37-35-38, (unfortunately only the 34 was in a comp!) and managed to avoid all the rain so all in all not a bad weekend!
