Golf Live

I remember lots of adverts last year where Colin Montgomerie invited me to join him at the London Club and I see "Golf Live" is back on the calendar this year with Gary Player amongst others in attendance.

I never really got my head round what it was though. Did anyone go? What was it like? Worth a visit? Even if that means a trip down from Edinburgh?

I went to the first one and it was actually pretty good. Enough room to get a decent view, plenty going on. Would I travel from Edinburgh specifically. Probably not - good but not that good. Of course if you can tag some golf into the trip then it becomes a different matter

Oh yeah it'd have to be just part of a wider trip.

I had to break the news to the misses tonight that il be going to golf live again this year and BMW PGA the weekend after...

It's a really good day, 3 hole challenge, 3 celebs and 3 pros, we had Sophie horn, Carly booth, joe miller long drive champ, Pablo larazabal and Darren clarke.

The pro workshops were great, tee shots, approach play and short game really interesting.

Lots of kit to test and buy...

Great fun!!!

I missed out going last year and really wanted to go this year, but I'm on a golf weekend away so cant make it, cant have it all I guess!
It does look like a great day out!

I thought the Stoke Park one was excellent but was a bit disappointed with last years

I enjoyed it last year, the master classes were really good and there was lots of kit to try. Managed to come home with about half a dozen new balls and enough tees to last the next couple of years.
