Just renewed my policy, so i guess i should of done this earlier but whats the best Insurance around and have you any good/bad stories and experiences with companies (dont know the legality of naming and shaming companies so if you got bad stories id best leave the name off a post)

Plus do you think its worth it?

I don't have it yet but I'm the process of getting it sorted out.

I am going with Carrick Neill as they cover clubs in the back of your car which are not covered, unlike the rest which only cover them if they are in the boot or covered with the parcel shelf. May be a bit of an extra cost but worth it I think.

Carrick Neill for me. They covered me specifically for storing them in the locker at the club which wasn't covered by home insurance or the previous cover I had

Our club now give all their members basic insurance with Carrick Neill covering hole in one, accidents etc

Thats the way to do it. A lot of courses also have insurance built into their visitors green fees. I'm also in the process of looking to purchase golf insurance "just incase" as we have a criss cross hole where the 17th comes back across the 1st fairway.

Sad sad day really when you chose to participate in a sport for enjoyment and need insurance just incase.

We are covered for accidents through our green fees (we have a cross over too, our 5th and 12th) and my clubs are covered through my buildings and contents insurance.

This cover only cost an extra couple of quid on our subs, it really was buttons. I can't for the life of me see why clubs don't look at this for their members especially as many cover visitors anyway.
