Sorry if this has been done before....

I was playing yesterday and whilst on our 15th green a guy in my group got pinned on the calf from a shanked iron off the 13th tee... There was a rapid cry of 'fore' but was too late and he was hit on the calf. Thankfully he was ok and left with a massive 'eggy'.

So, given that i am playing a heck of a lot more this year i am going to get insurance, so the question who has the best deals out there...

Just signed up to the golfers club myself this week after reading the other threads. 30 quid for the year but you get 5 free rounds of golf and 5off 2 for 1 vouchers so not really cost me anything.

Golf care for me. No idea what they are like as with all insurance we always hope we never need it but until I do I'm paying for nothing in reality. If I ever do need them then I'll be sure to let you know how they respond to a claim. Hopefully they will step up to the mark and pay out in a timely manner as I did with the premium.

Checked with our secretary - £5 added to annual membership renewal - to cover incidents at home so no away cover. He mentioned that he's done a full hole-by-hole risk assessment and guests and visitors will be provided with a copy of this prior to playing. Whether you read it or not is up to the individual - but the advice is provided. And all because of the Niddry Castle GC incident and subsequent personal injury claims. Oh well. These are the days my friend.
