Not sure if this should be here or OOB to be honest...

I'm no one who usually remembers dreams but last night...

In a few weeks time a few of us from Leeds are taking on the office from Newcastle, started off with a big argument as they didn't beleive my handicap was 28 (in the dream I was wearing sponsored clothes…)

Any way, first tee, driver. Topped it 20 yards. Everyone laughed and they said OK, you’re a 28 handicapper. Got hybrid out and holed the second shot for eagle.

Second hole I hit the pin from the tee and got a birdie 2, the third I reached the green in two and two putted for birdie.

The fourth I pulled my drive but it bounced off a tree in to the middle of the fairway…

went round in 6 under par and spent the whole time apologising saying I’ve never broken 100 before!!!

In the dream I played every shot, never had a dream like that before!!!!

You need to get out more often mate, dreams about golf, the only golf dreams i have are about a night with Gulbis and Creamer :D :D :D

Ugh, Homer was in my dream the other night.

I was hoping to repress the memory of it though x

Its when you see an image of me at the top of the backswing you really need to worry. I presume I was fully clothed in your dream or that image really would be the stuff of nightmares

Aaaarrrggghhhh Admin, delete this thread. I don't want to be associated with a thread that has people thinking about a naked Homer

:D

Lol relax spoff!

We were on the golf course and Homer had about 3 putts to win the hole against me. He three putted and had a 2 footer left, he picked up the ball thinking he had lost the hole. I told him that he could hole that putt to get a half and let him take the putt from where it was before.

He missed.

I thought this post was going to be about John Updike's excellent book "Golf Dreams". Shame it isn't. A superb book that all should read if given the chance...

Funny this should be raised today, I dreamed a bit about Golf last night. Me and my other half were playing, although she doesn't, and either her dad or my dad too...can't remember. All I remember, very vividly, is chipping up to a nearby green and the ball taking a bad kick and rolling down a bank and under a bush. I went to find it, and was on my hands and knees, rooting round under the bush, and there were several lost balls down there, but I couldn't find mine. I reached in a bit further and held the bush aside, and I found a stash of boxes and boxes of balls...dozens of them. Then I noticed an old style metal lamp-post hidden deep in the bush, and it had 50p pieces nailed to it, and there was a sign inviting people to nail their 50p pieces to the post for good luck!

Anyway, I found my ball, (it was blank though, no markings at all...I was sure mine had had markings on it.) I picked it up and put it down on the next tee, but just as I was about to hit it I noticed there were markings and it wasn't mine, and I panicked because I didn't want to hit a foul shot.

Then there was the rumbling of thunder, and we all decided to run for cover...but it was my phone-alarm going off, buzzing at me.

Very weird.

Pff that guy that does the mental side of golf should just analyse this. We'll get about 6 months worth of material from here. x

:D alarms always go off just as the dream is getting good :D

I've had a recurring dream over the years when I'm at Augusta (it might be to play in the Masters, or just for a knock?!?) but can't find my golf trousers. Someone is calling me to say "get on the tee Dave", but it's no good, all I can't find is jeans. Augusta probably (obviously) sell trousers in the pro shop, I don't know what my problem is.

I think it all comes from turning up to play at Silvermere and realising I'd left my changing bag at home. Silvermere had to lend me clothes and shoes.....I looked like a bloomin tramp that day with ill-fitting kit. I played pretty badly too.....over 100 i.i.r.c. :o

Easy to get Silvermere and Augusta mixed up. :o :D
