I'm driving down from from Corbridge to Barnsley next week and am looking to play a quick round. Normally would pop into Slaley Hall, but I've played it many times and fancied a change. Anyone got any recommendations along the A1?
Golf Courses on the A1 or A68. Corbridge to Barnsley?

Darlington is nice, Richmond is fun. I haven't played Catterick but that gets good reviews.
Tyneside is a very pleasant place to play, just off the A69 before joining the A1.

If you want to play in Barnsley, the most ‘prestigious’ is Silkstone, never played it but heard good things.
Personally, I would spend as little time as possible in Barnsley (and I grew up there

Silkstone is a very hilly course ( trolley battery failed on the 7th). I have played Richmond and Catterick. Catterick is the better course.
