Have recently acquired an M5 (not DHC). Playing a course next week which mandates winter wheels.

I don’t have a set but a mate has lent me his.

They are the DHC variant. Looking online, it says they are compatible with the M7 and MTECH, but no mention of the M5.

I have fitted them and they seem to work ok from a quick spin round the garden.

Am I likely to have any problems using them on my M5?

They may cause an overload in the flux capacitor.

They definitely are different wheels as my friend ordered a set of winter wheels for his DHC and they sent ordinary wheels and the DHC didn't work. You may have problems going round corners as the DHC wheels don't go backwards and the axle doesn't have a diff in it.

I contacted Motocaddy this morning. Their advice was "DHC wheels could potentially cause damage if used with a non-DHC trolley". Not exactly definitive, but I'll err on the side of caution.

If you have a non dhc they will be fine it's only dhc trollies that have issues with the the winter wheels, for my M7 they kept stopping the trolley, the wheels wouldn't complete a rotation and would just stop but work on my friends M3 (no dhc) with no issues, if it works in the garden it will work on course id imagine

this is the response I got from MC -

Good morning ,

You would require the 28v Hedgehog Winter Wheels, if you was to use the DHC model it could damage the axle on the wheels i'm afraid, I do apologise for this.
Kind regards,

You need specific winter wheels for DHC Models
