what changes or improvements would you want to be seen made to your course that could be done with not very much of a budget...

Something that can be done with existing green keeping equipment... something to do with the clubhouse... something in the changing area???

I'd like to see some of those nice air fresheners in the changing area - to get rid of the rotten wet grass smell that tends to linger after a spell of rain when everyone who's played the course drags grass etc into that area of the clubhouse on their shoes, bags etc.

Put some sand in some of the bunkers. This would be nearly free, as they could take it out of some of the other bunkers which have way too much.

Put some water on the 6th hole at Pyrford. There's not enough water on the course. Only 17 of the holes right now have a water hazard which is plainly not acceptable.

since we can't go down due to an indecently high water table, I'd like to see some contouring of some of the fairways by going up; adding mounds and swales.

get rid of the three disgusting 'sheds' that serve as ladies conveniences (or would if any could bring themselves to enter) and replace with one decent halfway house.

If money was freely available I'd like a dedicated green for chipping and pitching practice which would be maintained the same as the ones on course. In the real world I'd like more work done to remove and stop stones coming up in bunkers. Clear out the ditches more often so a) we can find balls in them even though they are a hazard and b) water can actually escape as designed.

I'm in the more sand in the bunkers brigade. Half of our bunkers hardly have any sand in them at all, so you play just a flick shot to get out of them. The thing is even as a 25h/c I would regard myself as a reasonable good bunker player so I feel some of my competitors are gaining from this.

My golf partner even putted out of one of them last week.

Raised tee at the 2nd (always a bog in winter).

Burn the third (bad case of J Arthurs on this one for the last 6 weeks) oh and the 9th!

Level the fairway on the 6th (balls on the top go all the way down to the bottom).

Improve the practice area and some of the tees.

The fairways and greens could do with improvement but the owner already has a programme in place so apart from that not a lot else.

The phone number of the lovely girl behind the bar would be nice too :D

Simple one for me, dedicate part of the bar as a spike bar. I know it is not that much hassle to change shoes after a round but sometimes you just want to walk off the course and have a cold/hot drink. Would also allow a coffee once I have put the shoes on and see a big queue on the first.

Other than that, the course could do with a few more bunkers and a few tees leveling off.

Put some ponds in the lower end of the course to help the drainage.

Train some tigers to track and attack at the smell of Werthers original, and let 1 go 10 minutes after every senior match tees off.

Level tees would be nice. No excuse.

Our bunkers have enough sand in, but everyone who goes in one seems to rake it by pulling sand from the middle to the edge

A couple of extra bridges over the stream that runs through the course. On our 9th, if you're far right on the fairway just in front of the stream and you manage to duff it over, you're faced with a 100 yard walk to get the 10 yards to your ball.
Other than that, just keeping the really deep rough shorter so you can at least find the ball would be nice. Surely 6 inch deep rough is deep enough?

Train some tigers to track and attack at the smell of Werthers original, and let 1 go 10 minutes after every senior match tees off.

Magnificent - and if they could also be trained to hunt down people playing a particular make of club .... eh Smiffy?
