golf attire......what do you prefer?

I'm not allowed out without HID's approval on colour co-ordination even down to my hat. Oh and I must have shiny shoes on the course. I cannot abide horrible mucky white shoes, I don't think there is anything that looks worse on a course.

best golf trousers ever are Debenhams nanotech.
stain resistant, and they are 1" longer than normal trousers perfect for me as I can get a 34" leg for once and they fit (They have a stretchy hidden waistband!)
top those off with a nice polo neck + thin wool jumper if cold.
But muted colours (So I can wear them on other occasions)
But......

I really want to wear CARGO SHORTS!
the most perfectly designed apparel for summer golf, with all those extra pockets to carry tees, scorecards, gps, pitchmark repairer.
but stupid golf courses don't allow them...i hereby announce my campaign to get all golf courses to allow cargo shorts! You know it's only right! :)
i hereby join your campaign!!! :D
I oppose your campaign and consign cargo shorts to golfing damnation, what is wrong with a nice tweed jacket, waistcoat, cardboard collar and tie with a nice pair of plus two's and matching hose finished with a pair of immaculate brogues. Now that's smart, and practical as the jacket will have room for a pipe and other golfing paraphernalia whilst the plus two's should have pockets perfect for one's hip flask. ;)

Leodis

Salt & Sauce or Vinegar ? ;)

Surely you wear whatever you are comfortable with as long as it meets the dress requirements of where you are playing.

Each to their own I suppose :D

good try m8,and i aint biting! its a serious issue though, why do the grey trouser brigade have a prob with sharp clothing? :D

well, I think it's down to the pain they get from busting a gut laughing at some blob crammed into Poulter's latest creation when he shouldn't wear anything other than a smock and gaiters . . .

. . . of course I could be wrong, but then I've never owned flannels.
