Golf at Disney World

Osprey Ridge is a terrific track, rated higher than Magnolia where they hold a PGA Tour event.

Had my clubs with me.

Paired up with an American father & son and they were fantastic company so don't let that bother you.

Go for it, I am sure you will enjoy yourself.

Played a few years ago with my dad. I think it was Osprey's Ridge but could have been the Palm course.

Was immaculate and the staff, as you would expect, were incredible. We took our own clubs and whilst we got signed in, they loaded them onto the buggys etc and offered to clean them all afterwards.

Only thing I would say is to check the temperature when you're gonna play. Being very naive, we put our name down for a 9am start, wondering why there was so much available space. It was only when it got to midday and 100 degrees we realised. Looked at the start sheet afterwards - the tee was booked solid from 5.30-7am and 3-4pm.

I have played magnolia, lake buena vista, and the palm, several times each. They are all similar, but very nice. I took my own clubs. Would I pay the asking price (it's quite steep), probably not, as there are other courses near by which are equally good. I like magnolia, because it is often on telly, so I know the holes, and it's nice to walk where the pros have walked.

I get on for $25 though because im friends with Grumpy, so it's cheap golf.

Played Disney Eagle Pines great course and treated really well.
Bit pricey but I did have to hire clubs and shoes.
But price included a buggy, a sleeve of balls and a basket of balls for the range.
Really enjoyed the day.

If you are staying onsite in a Disney hotel you will get a decent discount on their courses but if not keep an eye on golfnow.com for the Orlando area and you may find yourself a great deal, we got Championsgate for $23 last year, yes we still had to pay for club hire and buggy but if i remember correctly it came to a total of around $63. The website often has Disney courses on it as well if your set on playing there

Also when you are in the numerous golf stores around ask for any special offer tickets they may have.

I managed to get a deal for $69 to play the outstanding Grand Cypress which included club hire and buggy from one of the small independant golf stores just by chatting to the guy working there.

Dontbother with the disney courses they are more expensive and in worse condition because of all the traffic on them than nearby courses
the best courses around are orange county national both courses, celebration golf course
will be about $40 including buggies in the summer on the most pristine courses you will ever play

If you have a car you can play better elsewhere for less, Grand Cypress and Orange County National are near by and both outstanding golf complexes.

I played Grand Cypress twice last summer for under $ 40 with my own clubs.
