Golf and Relationships. Do they mix?

No probs with HID-she knew when she met me i was a sports nut and was playing hurling adn football at a reasonably hit level which entail mn 2 nights training matches at the weekend and in summer games midweek and weekend. So when i retired and took up golf she was understanding--shes does not understand why we need sport as she believes competition is "Evil".

HID loves gardening and spends her spare time, especially in the summer tending the gardens. Plus we both love our breaks away with friends-she goes to Malaga with the girls i go to the Algarve playing golf-a perfect tonic for us both.

I have said many times on here that HID is one in a million. Not only does she willingly support me playing both days at weekends and weekday evenings in the summer, she is normally the one asking "you going to the range tonight?" even when it is teeming it down and freezing. She has no problem with my golf spending and has been known on a regular basis to give my wet shoes the loving care they need (putting newspaper in them and then cleaning when dry).

When I come home cold and wet and fed up she is there with a warm cup of tea and helps me unpack and dry listening to how I could have been a contender until .....

I'm really not sure what I did in a former life to be so lucky and I love her to bits and despite occasionally taking the mickey on here about her she is trule 1 in a million

Homer, I would like to say just one word to you.......Cloning! ;)

He's married to dolly the sheep....? I never would have thought it.

I wouldn't clone her for anything in this world. She is my very reason for living. Having come close to dying you begin to realise what is important in life and what mistakes you may be making or have made and that you only truely realise what you have when it goes or is taken
