Goals for 2009?

I had three main targets this year:

1. Win a competition (completed by winning my local club's open today!)
2. Get down to lower 20s (half way there)
3. Play more consistently (last three days - nett 66, nett 64, nett 65)

Soooo I've got 3 new targets:

1. Qualify for my Club's Championship
2. Hit longer, putt less
3. Get down to the teens.

Ambitious I know but I'll be delighted with 2 out of 3!!

My only target this year is to play golf.

That is all.

6 months ago it was never going to happen, I was an ex-golfer - now it's within sniffing distance.

I genuinely can't wait.

I'd like to get my handicap below 20. I'm at 25 now so it is dooable. My pro thinks i should be around 18 and i'd be happy with that!

Learn to hit longer drives as my short game is a strong part of my game, but i need to get into the position of the tee to use it.

Enter more medals and a couple of other clubs opens.

Reducing the handicap is a natch, currently on 17, would like to get it below 15.

To putt better, two putt every hole and I'd be delighted.

Consistancy.how the hell can you shoot a birdie followed by an 8 followed by a par? It's just not cricket!

Most importantly, concentrate on my set-up.I set my feet right of the green and try to draw the ball back in.when it works it looks lovely, but more often than not it does not, aim straight, hit straight.

To have my handicap start with a 2.something.

Accumulate more than 50 points in the County Order of Merit Table.

Win Club Champs.

1. Practice short game more. Especially chipping.
2. Handicap down to 7. something.
3. Win a competition.

Hopefully the first one should lead to success in the other two.

my goals this year,
1)get a game with some of you forumers.
2)become a single figure h/c,been agonisingly close,
3)win another club comp, name on board etc.
4)enjoy the game a bit more.

My only target is to get my handicap down to 12 from 16.7

If I manage to achieve this, then I'm sure that will be good enough to pick up a win in the odd comp.

I'm looking to realy enjoy my golf this year, and hopefully that will bring results.

My goal is to get to 4 from 5.3, sounds easy but it is going to take several good rounds. Two weeks ago I played to 4 but it was not a qualifier. Today I played to 3 and went down .2 to 5.1 but It is going to be a long job.

My main aim every time I go out is to enjoy it because if I am relaxed I will play well.

First goal is to return to single figures. Began the year at 11.1 and currently sitting at 10 so half way there on that one.

Second has to be hoping business picks up to enable me to join a new club. On hold at the moment due to tight finances and may end up going nomad.

Going to be difficult to do the first without the second.
