I'm sorry but I'm still peeing myself about this, the more times i read it the funnier it gets.

The main gist of what dangermouse asked was has anybody had or heard of any problems with the trolley...It seems everybody (bar 1) has.

Am i the only one who finds this amusing?

I've just re-read this thread - 3 had battery problems - 1 had a circuit connection problem - 1 was a breakage caused by another golfer and all the others were about brolly holders. I'm sure lots of electric trolleys have battery problems. It seems to me that the reason we hear so much is the very fact that they are so popular.

I'm in the market for one very soon and it certainly doesn't put me off. What's more important IMHO is, they're lightweight, compact when folded, easily transported, inexpensive and not forgetting good for the course being lightweight.

Golfmmad.

I thiny you'll find that all the issues, particularly the self inflicted damage were dealt with quickly and without quibble. I know a lot of guys that use Powakaddy etc and if they have an issue they either have to take it back to POP or to a recognised dealer (at their own cost) and wait until it comes back or worse case scenario pay to courier it back at their own charge. I accept the GK has had some battery faults but they have always sent the courier out and picked the faulty one up and left a new one meaning the user still had a trolly to use. I can't see anything wrong with that service

Mr GoKart I was talking about the brolly holder bouncing and rocking all over the place when its not windy, when its just going over flat fairway.

Errr.....mine does the same
;)

Do you not take the brolly out when walking then?

I thought they were only used when you get to your ball, and you need to put your brolly somewhere for the shot or card marking.

I've now got this funny picture of peeps shuffling down the fairway crouching under their brolly which is attached to their trolly.

:D

My brolly is to keep ME dry, not my clubs. That's what rain hoods are for. The idea of a brolly holder, is for somewhere to put your brolly while taking shots, marking cards etc without taking it down all the time. At 6 foot tall, for me to walk under my brolly while it's in it's holder I'd be bent over double. I have however stood under it while stationary to mark the card.

I am 6 ft 2, so I am on my hands and knees under mine. Definately carry it while moving, and park it up when stationary. Tbh, the umbrella mount doesn't look that strong to me, it fair waves about, wouldn't take much to break it.
