GM vs Ping

How long before we hear from Gm about the itinerary do you think ? I'm starting to get really excited about this now , only a week before I start my journey

So the day is laid before us fellas. Not too early a start and a pretty early finish by the looks of it.

It looks like me you to bring home the winning point Clive :D

Yep, and I've got to page 267 of my book "Caddying out of your comfort zone" by Rob Bottella.

Only 134 pages and I'll be a scratch caddy.

:)

My little soldiers all cleaned up and ready to go into battle......

Do your stuff lads

:D :D :D :D :D

Thats a nice looking bag you've got the Smiffy :D

Not gonna clean all my gear up til Monday night , cos I may get a round in on Monday if the weather holds. No point you getting a ping driver then if you've already got one. Should give the rest of us a little more time nosing around in all the drawers

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

Suits you sir, suits you!!!

Just need to get yourself a proper putter now and you'll be Pinging out your napper!

Smiffy, sorry to say this mate, but I think you've been diddled, sold a pup, conned.
In my experience, that 3 wood is definately a copy

Do you think they'll have time to fit me for a B60 ? Will they give discount if I buy on the day ?

Or check the lie of my irons ? They still feel a little flat to me. But then, so does my inflatable 'friend' ever since she's had a puncture

:D

What is the point of half the GM v Ping team playing Ping? Doesn't sound like much of a match to me.

It might never get started.

Conversation on first tee box:

'Nice clubs'

'Hmm, nice clubs'

'Ooh, you've got nice clubs too'

'yep, nice clubs'

'Aren't you too young to play Ping?' Asks the caddy.

Followed by alot of embarrassed shuffling of feet. And no one being fit or supple enough to put a tee in the ground.

Fair enough, but the GM team have at least 3 Ping players, in MikeH, Smiffy and Craw, may be more.

If I was fixing a footy game up between Arsenal and Spurs fans, there wouldn't be any white shirts in the red team.

No,

email says smart but casual ALL day.

just checked the website and it says that jackets must be worn in the dining room over smart casual at all times. Will we be having breakfast or buffet in the dinning room? who knows? :D

Put it another way then, I wont be travelling with a suit, shirt and tie. Mike says its smart and casual then that's fine by me.

It would be crushed something rotten anyway by the time I flew down.

I take it jeans, t-shirt and flip flops are ok for on the course?

(PS, I think Mike H is also a Pinger so that make is 50% of the team!)

I sent Mike an email to check on dress code. He confirms smart casual (basically what you play in with just a change of shoes). He suggested taking a spare pair of trousers just in case the weather is crap, but the forecast for the day is looking good.

It's lucky you weren't fixing up this golf game between GM & Ping then Murph, 'cos me, Craw and MikeH wouldn't be able to play would we? They would have to draft in you, Leftie and somebody else.
That would be a shame.

Edit: Looked at the website this morning, both courses are open but trollies are not allowed at the moment. Hope the "ban" is lifted by Wednesday 'cos I don't fancy carrying
