gm volvo matchplay

RickG and I are still in it. Mainly because we got a bye in the first round when our opponents pulled out (muppets). We are still waiting for the next round, as our potential opponents have not played yet. We will be at home next though. Not that that makes any difference to me, as I don't know RickG's course either.

Everytime i suggest a date to play my apponent he tells me he's busy, i' don't really know what to do now as we have to play by Monday i've had no reply and its our club championship this weekend.
Any suggestions?

not sure how it works but either way you should Contact the organisers in advance of the closing date (do it today) and tell them of your difficulties, inform your opponent you are not available this weekend or you could be disqualified through no fault of your own, how did you contact opponent , e-mail , text or phone, have you a record of contact or reply ??

Contact the orgnisers straight away and let them know you have tried your best to organise a day and that he keeps dodging it. I nearly had the same problem, i had organised to play before i went on holiday and when i got back he had gone away and not told me, i was going to claim the match but didn't want to go through to the next round that way, so had to wait till late sunday night to play him. Just glad i won and went through :D

thecraw and JJF69 are in the same boat as murph. Round 2, bring it on.

Calum and I are still in had a good game in round one, looking forward to a game at muckart in second round.

Myself and Murph are playing a 7 & 8 h/c from Brocket Hall in the second round at my place in the 1st week of August.

Coincidentally I'm playing another guy from Brocket Hall in my second round singles match also at my place this Thursday after work. He's off 17 so giving away 9 shots :(

StuartD and myself won our first round match at my home course this morning. A handsome 6 & 5 victory with some good play from us both. Ham and egging. Only 2 holes where we didn't have a par or birdie between us and we lost them both.

We played on after the 13th and Stuart reckoned he shot a 77 gross off 12. Handy! Home tie next round too.
