I like using the forum and entering the comps etc but mostly the interaction by like minded individuals , i like the fact we can meet & interact with yerselves @ GM , so i along with others apreciate that , even if we maybe dont mention it enough ..

I of course am not aware of the full extent of the problem , which im sure must be geting out of hand as i can tell by there even being a need for your post ..

I hope things get sorted so that it can continue

It comes down to use it properly or lose it. Think before you post and then think again. Never put down what you first thought of.

We all want to use the forum as it is a great place to get ideas and the opportunity to play other courses.

Lets keep it sensible so we can all add to our enjoyment of golf.

LOL... Like it... What we really need is a grown up section. Where intelligent (and semi intelligent) people can talk like grown ups without the need for petty wind ups and worse. Hang on a minute, thats what we have isn't it?

I'm more than capable of being drawn into stupid arguments, especially when the wine's flowing, but some of the posts recently have been ridiculous. Some of the stupid anti-Scottish and anti-English postings have been bubbling under the surface for a long while and it only takes one post to inflame them. Other arguments seem to explode out of nothing... Hopefully we'll move on, but I have doubts that certain sections can contain themselves long enough...

It's pathetic the so called rivalry between these 2 great nations. I mean we have much more in common than we have differences. To start with we are both rubbish at football...

The arguments would still happen though, they'd just happen somewhere else on the forum. This happens occasionally, mainly when the weathers bad. It doesn't help that we've had a terrible 12 months weather wise.

People need to focus more on the good things rather than the bad. Take a look at the H4H threads, or the golf meet threads. This forum has brought a lot of people together and is responsible for some real friendships. The North West FlatCap tour is a result of this forum. As is the yearly meets at Woburn etc. This forum has the capability to improve most peoples golf and golfing experiences if they let it. Some just need help seeing it though...

Not really, (Apart from most football threads) most is started by a handful of troublemakers, usually in a sleeked fashion where they start threads they know will go bad or bait other members they have had issues with before or that they know will easily bite.

No absolutely, I went to the forum meet at Formby and had a great day out that wouldn't have happened without this forum so losing it would be a real shame.

I actually missed last nights football as I was in the Pub watching the Rep.Ireland game. Quite enjoyed it actually. They were a bit unlucky to concede late on. I got back and the England game was just finishing. I certainly didnt regret missing it....

I watched a double episode of Great British Menu instead of the England match. As that's how I roll.

This can all be sorted out easily. Get rid of the OOB section then all there is talk about is the one thing we are all here to talk about GOLF, no football, rugby( I have had my share in that one so hands up) or politics & religion. It is a Golf forum and should stay as just that.

Shouldnt have to be that way mate , suposadly adults on here , debate & chat if ya can , if ya cant just read or ignore the thread , simples
